Perseverance

“the quality of continuing trying to do or achieve a particular aim despite difficulties” is Perseverance. This definition is to guide us as we go through this topic. The Bible talks about the broad and narrow way. The scripture also is talking about patience and impatience no matter the side you view it from. If you have perseverance you go through the narrow way in whatever position or situation you find yourself in but where you have no perseverance you go through the broad way. That is why you find people in shady deals, 419, occultism, robbery, prostitution and other vices in order to get rich quick. Unfortunately some people end up dying in the process. Those that persevere are seen and addressed as JJC. The scripture tells us that when you persevere and hook up to God that He will make us rich and no sorrow will be attached to it. If you are in a hurry, you will also leave this world in a hurry. Just allow the Lord to have His way in your life.“the quality of continuing/trying to do or achieve a particular aim despite difficulties” is Perseverance. This word perseverance has taken so many people to the top and has made it possible for them to get what they did not bargain for especially  what they did not expect  in their wildest dream. It is a virtue that one has to ask from God. Remember Joseph, Daniel,David and others that i cannot just mention right now. Lack of this quality makes people to lose a lot. The quality is needed in every aspect of life, be it in marriage, relationship, business, career, family and so on. I would tell you that putting on this quality is not easy because you have a lot to stomach but by God’s special grace you will look back and smile. So as you go through life’s struggles try to imbibe this quality and you will get there.“the quality of continuing/trying to do or achieve a particular aim despite difficulties” is Perseverance. Our definition still remains as a guide to this write up. For as many that will read this portion if you will be sincere to yourself, you would have re-called that you  missed out something you would have benefited from; just because you could not persevere any longer; you felt it was taking too long and so could wait no longer; but as you go through this write up, you might start remember some of them if not all that you have lost because of lack of perseverance; all you need ask of God, is to grant you His grace as regards perseverance. Fright is the set back that pins

It says no to any little effort I make

It says there is no way out there

It limits, mocks, intimidates and cripples

The knowledge is there, but fear makes it worthless

Fear you pop up each time I want to move an inch

All you tell me is do, just dare it. Others have

I want to be there, and I will get there

It is the way to the top that I seek after

On the top,  there you can be seen

All I hear is get to the top, the means

And how I do not know, I ask what means

Another tells me determination, focus commitment

My head I nod and tell myself top here I come

Top I remain and everyone will see me. 

Way forward

 The day is done and as a brand new day

The light shines and I am up for good

Still Small Voice

There is a still small voice that I hear

It is gentle and calm, not forceful

Not cajoling my mind at all

The voice allows me room for a mind made up

It tells me that a journey of a million mile

Self-discovery

Self-discovery is like a fast moving freight train, there is no stopping it. A way will be found to develop that talent with 

or without the help of society. My dear youths, I want you to pause and think about the above saying. Underline with or 

without the help of society. This tells you that somebody might discover a talent in you, there is no doubt about that; 

but I tell you that you are in the best position to discover yourself. The moment you discover yourself, definitely no one 

will push you here and there. You will have that high spirit in you and you will want to go all out to acheive that which will make you fufiled 

 hence the saying above. You will get there with or without the help of anybody. self-discovery is very 

essential in our existence on earth. The ealier you discover yourself the better for you. You will not be that person that 

will be pushed about. You will not be a copy cat because you know what you want for yourself. What is that that your 

.

inner man points you to, or that  which you have discovered that each time you have it done, there is this joy, that 

wails from your inside. If it means cramming the above saying please do because it will go along way to guiding you. It 

will help you discover who you are and how to go about it. 

 It will now come in as a driving force and there will be no stopping until you have gotten 

that which you have set out to do with or without the help of society.  Till  we meet again Shalom.

The master builder

How many of us know that the Almighty God we serve is a builder. If indeed you know to what extent do you know him to be a builder? Most of us have built several mansions in terms of different buildings. And yet you are still having problems with your marriages, children, families, academics etc. This builder is not directing our minds to the physical building of house. What we are dealing with is more than that. The people who build houses  their job ends immediately the house or building is concluded. That is the extent man can go. We are dealing now with a builder that can build all things. I call Him( Builder of builders) Namely, house, family, business, relationship, academics marriages, character you name it. So in this case, you will discover that the God we serve is not limited of tied to one corner. So you have an open cheque to yourself. It is left to you to bring to his attention the aspect/ area you want him to build for you. The materials needed to build any of these mentioned above, are not limited nor scarce. Be confident and take whatever you want to Him and allow him do the building how and when is not your business just allow him and after He he would have finished you will not regret having  taking them to him.  Remember that He is your father Hear this and I believe that if you had lost hope, I have good news for you." For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thought of peace and not of evil to give you an, expected end" Jeremiah 29:11. So all those pains that you are going through  God does not want it. Make a U turn and em brass Him and allow Him start a new foundation for whatever that has been troubling you. You do not have the know how but God hSas . Shalom  

The Gift Of God Part 11

I want to thank  all of you that took out time to go through my post. I believe you would have gotten one or two things from that post that will transform you, and make you that person God wants you to be. By the special grace of God, Christians all over the world, would be celebrating Easter. I made mention in our 15 April 2014 post that the topic for  this year,s Living Water Crusade, was the gift of God. Did you try to fashion out was this gift is all about? Do you know that this gift is a complete package for us believers and for as many that want to say yes to call of Jesus Christ. This package is so loaded that there is nothing you cannot get from it. In this package, all that a child of God should have and also enjoy is in this package. In this package, you have peace. Hear this John 16:33 A part of it (These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world). Have you seen the kind of God you have? Did you really understand the passage before you? Our Lord and savior wants you to know just one thing; and what is the thing He wants you to know.He wants you to know that there is no other place that you can find a lasting peace apart from Christ. Did you see where He said clearly (in me) If you do not have him the peace you would have will be temporal. Alcohol cannot give  peace. Money cannot give you peace. That waterbed you lie on, cannot give you peace etc.Someone defined  peace, as calmness in the mist of trouble. This is where the B part of this scripture come into play. It says in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Our God does not hid anything from his people. Knowing him will make you have peace in the time of trouble. He also said that you/I should be of good cheers because in that time of depression, lack, sickness,difficulties, bereavement,disapointment etc He will be there for you. This portion of the Bible should be what you fall back any time you are going through any situation that is contrary to the will of in your life. If you are not yet a believer accept Him and you hold unto this portion and see it work for you. Remember that the Lord did not tell you that there will be no tribulation; but the assurance He has given you, is that He will be there for you. Gift of God Part 1

Welcome back  beloved viewers, sorry for being off  for some time now, thank God that I am back to Him be all glory and honour in Jesus Name Amen. Our annaul programme Living Water has just come to an end. It was a five day program  from 9th to the 13th of April 2014. The topic was THE GIFT OF GOD. Let us read Romans 6: 23 (For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord). Did you get that? That is the gift that our heavenly father gave to you and I. The question is what was the purpose of the gift. Man give gifts for several reasons may be to end promotion in their place of work, to curry favour, for marriages, birthday, we can go on and on and even as at that, what they gave as gift, was not their best. All these gifts given ends here on earth. It will not end you eternal  life. the gift given was not the only one they had; but let us see John  3:16. It says( for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life) Mark the word ONLY. He had no other. but because he never wanted us to perish for the love he has for us He gave the only and  one Son that he had to redeem of from sin. How do you value this kind of gift. or are you still in your sin or you belong to the group that says there is no God.Or are you running away from God, thinking that you have committed so much sin that God cannot forgive you, do you think he wants you to be dammed. may be you think there is no hope for you. No! you got it all wrong he does not want you to perish and that is basically why he sent the only Son he had to redeem mankind. This mankind include you and I Come to him he is willing and ready to accept, you, wash or clean you up and put a new robe on you. The more you distant yourself, the more you miss out of the the love and mercy he has for you. Can you yourself give out the only thing you cherish so much for your wife, husband, sister, brother etc but this our Lord and Saviour did so for you I. If you are still not sure hear this also Matt 11:28 (Come unto me , all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest). Where else can you find rest? You money cannot give you rest, your landed property cannot give you rest, travelling allover the world cannot give you rest, your stock home and abroad cannot give rest both here and after here on earth. The only where you can have/find rest is only in Christ Jesus. What are you waiting for? Go to Him now and confess you sin and not to man. Man has no power to forgive sin. Is only Him that can forgive you of your sin and He is ready to accept you. Remember that it is an individual race. This gift has been given to you free of charge. Do not let this gift slip off from you. It might be too late. The time is now and I believe that as you go through this post you would make up your mind to accept this package that God has given you this day as your Lord and personal savior in Jesus Name Amen

In our first publication on family life we, saw that God is so much interested in our family and there is the need for us to make amends where ever we have erred.We concluded by saying that God is our father and that if we realize where we have erred, and go back ,that he will not disown us. The question now in this continuation is. How is your family life like? Can you make both of your family as a responsible father/mother?if say yes, bravo! If you say no, there is room for a change.  Your can not have a true happy family without Jesus at the center of your family life.What is then the basis of a happy family? The answer is not far fetch. The answer is knowing God, his word and applying it in any given situation in your family.Ask your self  in any given situation:this step that I am about to take, will it please God? Or what will Jesus do in this kind of situation. If you are confused ask God and allow him give you an answer.Except if you are faking your christian life. If  indeed you are a true christian, you will always seek the face of God and to please the Him, If you say no, meaning that your are not a fake christian, then behave like a child of God in your home.
Why would you be a terror in you home and go out there to behave like a saint You appear there as if you are a caring and loving person. Who are you deceiving. You can deceive man but cannot deceive God.
An adage says that charity begins from home. But with your contrary attitude to this adage, you are saying charity begins from outside. Remember that what ever you do out there, while your family is languishing in pain is not of God: why because God is interested in that family that he has put you in charge you will one day, answer for it. Know ye that the first group of people you see, before you go out there to give a wrong picture of your self, is your family.
 Do not get me wrong, there is nothing bad assisting people out there. yes God loves that: remember we are dealing with the subject of what God wants from a christian home. We should be living example.Ambassador for Christ A home where love radiates from. "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven" Matt chapter 5 verse 16. Your family should stand out as a christian home around your neighborhood. My wife or husband is stubborn/difficult, he or she nags, not neat. not understanding, so demanding all these are known: and can not be ruled out: but remember you are doing the will of God who has asked you to love. Love him, love her despite those short comings of his/hers. Love him/her because your heavenly father has asked you to do so. Is in obeying God, that he will fight for you  Obey him first and see what God will do.By your hating. fighting, quarreling, nagging keeping two homes  divorce and separation will not solve the matter and can not change any thing, but rather it will worsen the situation.Do your bit and commit him/her to his/her maker.  Human strategy will rake more havoc in your home. Is only God that can touch and change any people no matter how difficult the person might be. Is only God that has the ability to change any human being. Love is another powerful weapon to win any human being. I am not saying that it will be very easy , but the scripture tells me that with God, nothing shall be impossible Luke 1 verse 37. As far as your are on the Lord"s side you will over come. I have not seen evil over take good or darkness over take light. Hear the conclusion of the matter 1st John chapter 4 verse 7-12-  7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another, 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us verse 20. If a man say, I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar: For he that loveth not his brither whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? Can you beat that? You can turn a new leaf tody. It is not yet late. Just ask God to come into your life with sincerely of heart he will and with him stepping into your family, You family life will be sweetened and will become a testimony and wonder to all who knew you before.
